Helping Veterans with PTSD
Hello Auto Group partnered with Warfighter Made to support our heroes who have done so much for our country. Warfighter Made’s mission is to make a difference in the lives of veterans and their families in impactful ways. They do most of this through Recreational Therapy. Recreational Therapy provides an escape from life’s daily challenges through Polaris RZRs. Some vehicles are specially adapted for those with catastrophic injuries. These thrilling rides are not just about adventure; they are about improving the quality of life and mental health and bringing families closer in a fun and positive environment. Warfighter Made encourages veterans from all branches and eras to come together. This program built confidence, created a support network, improved communication skills, and provided a safe space to manage stressors related to Post Traumatic Stress. Recreational Therapy Retreats invited ill, injured, and combat-wounded veterans to participate in recreational therapy retreats. These retreats provided enjoyment and brought families closer in a supportive way. Warfighter Made also ran a STEM educational program for the children of veterans. This program taught students character development traits and the importance of respecting the environment. They were taught to protect ecosystems and preserve trails and parks for future generations. Warfighter Made organized an event called “Adrenaline Therapy.” This event brought veterans and their families together for a day of off-roading excitement. Hello saw an opportunity to support this incredible initiative. They became a sponsor and donated over $2,000 to ensure the event’s success. Hello set up a booth at the event, ready to show their unwavering support for these brave men and women. The kids who were part of the STEM program proudly showed up with their families and personal Polaris RZRs. The program taught these kids how to change tires, check engines, and work on their own Polaris RZRs. The veterans, accustomed to adrenaline from their service days, found a new purpose and excitement in off-roading. This event helped them cope with their PTSD and regain confidence as they fearlessly navigated the challenging terrain in their Polaris RZRs. Hello brought along a Subaru Wilderness Outback, a car known for its off-roading capabilities, and displayed it proudly by their booth. They even took the Subaru Outback out on the track to showcase its skills. It was clear that Hello had found a place in the hearts of the Warfighter Made community. Everyone had a blast, and more importantly, they created lasting memories and provided hope and healing for those who had given so much to protect their country. In the end, the partnership between Hello Auto Group and Warfighter Made was more than just a sponsorship; it was a testament to the power of compassion, camaraderie, and the adventure in bringing people together and making a difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed so much.
