Hello Auto Group Donates Backpacks to Sulpher Springs School District
Within a month of opening, the staff at Hello Auto was able to give back to their local students at Sulpher Springs School District in Valencia by hosting a backpack drive at their dealership location. The nine local elementary schools within the Sulpher Springs School District are home to over 5,500 students from kindergarten to 6th grade. Within the school district, there are also over 300 homeless families and has a population of over 45% of students with lower income families.
Hello Auto Group was able to help donate and prepare over 300 backpacks full of school supplies that will be distributed to students in August for the 2022/2023 school year. This was successfully done by coordinating with Ashley Swanson, the District Wellness Coordinator of Sulpher Springs. Each school in the district has a Family Resource Center dedicated to the lower income families. Once a month, families are given the opportunity to “shop” at the Family Resource Center, allowing them to take home school supplies, canned food, or donated clothing and shoes. All 300 backpacks were donated directly from the staff and all school supplies were funded from Hello Auto Group.
Over 20 staff members volunteered to help stuff these backpacks with the necessary school supplies and deliver them to the Family Resource Center. These backpacks were able to be distributed through the Family Resource Center to make sure every child has the supplies needed to have a successful school year. Supporting our community and students is what Hello Giving is all about. The Hello Auto family strives to give back in every way possible and can’t wait to continue to give back to our community for many years to come.
